An avid fisherman, Kevin Collins is the Australian Fishing and Lifestyle Party's Chairman and Senate candidate for Queensland. Based in the Whitsundays, where he has lived for over 20 years, Kevin is a restaurant owner who is firmly in touch with his local community.
Kevin helped create the Australian Fishing and Lifestyle Party after his proactive role in The Fishing Party (Queensland) in the previous Federal Election. He is committed to preserving the rights of all Australians who want to enjoy Australia's great outdoors, including hikers, campers, horse riders, 4WD'ers and anglers.
Kevin has served on the Board of the Regional Tourism Association, the Barrier Reef Institute of TAFE Council and has been an active member of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority Local Marine Advisory Committee and other committees both as a tourism industry representative and recreational angler.
In 2000, Kevin won the Whitsunday Tourism Award for 'Outstanding contribution by an individual' for his work within the tourism management and marketing industries. He is well regarded and recognised still in the Whitsunday's as a community minded business leader and general ambassador to the region. One of his restaurants won the 2004 Tourism award for best restaurant and more recently his current operation has involved itself with several charity events including work for the PCYC, junior sailing programs and Variety Queensland.
He has worked as the General Manager of several high profile island and mainland resorts and holds qualifications as a Scuba instructor, commercial skipper and fishing tour operator.

Kevin is dedicated to protecting Australia's natural environment, but believes Australians also have the right to enjoy it responsibly. His goals for Senate representation include implementing a system of checks and balances that will ensure restrictions to Australians parks and waterways are based on scientific evidence and the results of public consultation are taken into consideration.
Kevin is married and has three young adult children - one son Phillip, 21 and 18 year old twin daughters Rachel & Danielle.
